Staff Profiles

Patrick A. Thurston graduated from Marian University (formerly Marian College) Received a Bachelor of Science with dual majors in Accounting and Finance and a minor in Business Administration. 17 years of progressive professional experience in public accounting and the banking industry. Gained a thorough knowledge of individual and business tax laws, accurate tax reporting, US GAAP requirements for financial statement presentation, internal control, and business valuation preparation. Experienced as a Commercial Lending Credit Analysts, proficient in analysis of financial statements, financial ratios, projected cash flow and trend interpretation. Served clients’ needs in the following industries: Real Estate, Agribusiness, Farm Operations, Health Care, Non Profit organizations, Dealerships, Financial Institutions, Manufacturing, and Family Owned Businesses.

Brandon Ruppel graduated December 2015 from Purdue University with a Bachelor degree in Accounting. While attending Purdue, Brandon worked in the family business for 5 plus years doing Accounting, Payroll, Payroll taxes, Bank reconciliations, Personal Property Taxes and anything else brought before him. He is excited to be on the team here in DeMotte and North Judson to serve you.

Michael Padgett attended Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee and received an undergrad degree in Exercise and Health Science and a Masters of Business Administration. He served his alma mater as the Graduate Assistant for Intramurals. After graduating, he worked for a year at Amazon in Chattanooga, Tennessee before moving to Fowler, Indiana. Michael is the face of Drees & Associates in the DeMotte office and handles payrolls, personal property taxes, and bank reconciliations. He enjoys meeting new people and loves to follow the Atlanta Braves baseball team.

Sharron Padgett attended Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee and graduated with a degree in Christian Education. After serving her alma mater in the areas of Student Development, Academics, and Finance for over 30 years, she and her husband relocated to Indiana in December 2021 to be closer to family. She is the face of Drees & Associates in North Judson and handles payrolls, personal property taxes, and billing. Her passion is knowing the client has been heard, assisted in the best way possible, and looks forward with joy to assisting them in the next tax season.
